2009/10 Annual DinnerFriday 25th June 2010This year our Annual Awards Presentation Dinner took place at the home of our Vets side. The London South Bank University Ground, Turney Road, Dulwich, London SE21 7JH. This was the 5th and final time we would be celebrating our End-of-Season Club Dinner at this venue due to the unexpected closure of the ground we have been using since we formed our Vets side. As always, the evening was a great success as we had 40 players, wives and friends attending. The food, which has always been fantastic and plentiful, was surpassed with a superb spread which everyone enjoyed and was probably the best we have ever had, a fitting end to our association with the South Bank ground. We were celebrating a Double this season of the League and League Cup, but also a great achievement in reaching the National Cup Final. Unfortunately, on a very hot day, we failed to perform to the standards we had been doing prior to the Final, however, that does not detract from the pride in reaching our very first National Final, at any level. AwardsThe following awards were handed out to the players who won and deserved their honours.
Player of the YearWinner – Gary Thomas
Players Player of the YearWinner – Cliff Thomas
Leading GoalscorerWinner – C-view
Club Chairman, Mr Deano Ennor, took the mic and got the evening off to another hilarious opening with his stand-up routine where nobody escaped! It was also good to see Bernard supporting the club, one of the early founders of the club and then one of the first vets to play. This years' collectable gift was a limited edition Livingstone scarf which seemed to go down well with everyone, as you can see from the photo. The magazine was again very popular and rounded off a superb evening that was enjoyed by everyone. Thank you to all those who attended this special evening.
